The Path Project Pyrenees MX long sleeve running shirt is a technical mid-weight hoodie designed for cold days on the trail or the windy city streets. The ultra-soft high-performance mid-weight jersey is ultra comfortable and comes with a contour paneled hood, viewing slot for your running watch and pull out gloves.
I decided to take the Pyrenees MX for a run in the cold, windy, and icy weather of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Early snow this year and since I’m based there for my work most of the time, the weather is a challenge compared to the Bay Area in Northern California!
Features
- MX 260 mid weight 89% polyester / 11% spandex light moss jersey stripe
- Breathable, mid-weight, anti-odor, moisture-wicking, quick-dry, SPF +50, soft comfort, 4 way stretch, easy care
- Casual comfortable full-length sleeves with pull out hand covers and a snorkel hood
- Left arm watch slot opening for watch/GPS access while hand covers are in use
- Soft touch stitching for chafe free wear
- Made in the U.S.A.
With the addition of running gloves and knit cap to my regular running outfit, in the streets of Milwaukee on a weekend morning, I took my run. The Pyrenees MX kept me warm even in 20s weather and feels like a lightweight. In areas where there are warm sunlight and when I’m sweating on the run, I never felt hot and the Pyrenees MX is highly breathable.
The hero of the run is of course the watch slot opening. Anytime I run with long sleeve running tops or running jackets, the ability to check my watch for any readings is always a challenge and major frustration. The Pyrenees MX resolved that problem and now I have one less distraction while running!
The only thing missing from the Pyrenees MX running hoodie is a secured pocket for your valuables – drivers license, credit cards, cash, keys, etc. Most of my stuff fits in my running shorts or pants but there are times where your pant pockets are limited.
Though not a Pyrenees MX issue but my spoiled Northern California weather exposure, my hands were numb during my hour long run even with both running gloves and hand covers. I will have to try out different running gloves from my collection.
Available in many colorways at Path Project online.
