Unleash Your Feet: Primal 3 Redefines Comfort with Game-Changing Balanced Weight Distribution

Posted on April 7, 2024November 18, 2024

The LEMs Shoes Primal 3 is an all-new iteration of the popular Primal series, maintaining many of the signature features of the Primal 2, such as a zero-drop platform, wide toe box, and flat, flexible design. These shoes are designed to provide a natural, healthy fit for your feet, with a straight last that allows your mid-foot to move freely, and a wide toe box that accommodates the natural shape of your toes.

One of the key features of the Primal 3 is its balanced weight distribution, which is achieved through an increased overall outsole width. This ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing pressure points on your feet and enhancing comfort during various activities. The shoes also have higher sidewalls, which wrap up higher on the sides, providing a snugger fit around the contours of your feet and improving lateral stability.

The Primal 3 is suitable for a range of activities, from casual wear to hiking and light jogging. The shoes are known for their excellent traction in wet conditions and have a 3mm removable insole for those who want more support.

Primal 3 vs. Primal 2

The Primal 3 is an evolution of the Primal 2, with a focus on attention to detail and improvements based on customer feedback. It retains the same upper design and fit, ensuring a seamless transition for long-time wearers of the Primal series. The Primal 3 introduces a new removable insole made from recycled PU, which provides a comfortable, cushioned base for improved foot comfort. The Primal 3 also features higher sidewalls for a snugger fit and improved lateral stability, as well as a wider outsole for balanced weight distribution.

Primal 3 vs. Primal Zen

The Primal Zen is another model in the Primal series, which shares similarities with the Primal 3 but has a different shoe last. The Primal Zen has a slightly more athletic look due to its thicker outsole and additional padding in the tongue and materials. The Primal Zen offers a wider outsole width than the Primal 2, and a touch more cushion while still keeping the weight off. However, the Primal Zen has a more grounded base and 2mm of extra sole for added protection and durability

For the running and fitness enthusiasts who demand performance with every stride, the Primal 3 is engineered to elevate your run. Experience the freedom of movement with LEMs enhanced outsole design that broadens your contact with the ground, distributing your body weight more uniformly. This strategic expansion minimizes stress points underfoot, allowing you to push harder and longer, especially beneficial for those with lower arches seeking a significant boost in comfort. High-arched runners will still enjoy the familiar feel they’ve come to expect.

Take on sharp turns and dynamic movements with confidence thanks to the Primal 3’s raised sidewalls. This intentional design enhancement cradles your foot for a secure fit that moves with you, providing the lateral stability you need to power through your workouts.

Say goodbye to the one-size-fits-all approach. The Primal 3 now offers half sizes, ensuring a tailored fit that locks in your foot for precision and agility. This custom-like fit translates to improved performance, allowing you to focus on your pace and form without distraction. My female wear tester with narrow feet loved it!

The Primal 3 isn’t just about performance; it’s also a step forward in sustainable comfort. The new insole, crafted from recycled PU, offers a plush, cushioned foundation that supports your foot from warm-up to cooldown, without sacrificing our commitment to the environment.

For loyal fans of the Primal series, the Primal 3 maintains the trusted upper design you’ve come to love, ensuring a seamless transition with no break-in period. This consistency means you can lace up and hit the ground running, enjoying the same fit with the added benefits of the Primal 3’s advancements.

Whether you’re sprinting on the track, tackling trails, or crushing your CrossFit WOD, the Primal 3 is the upgrade you’ve been waiting for—combining the comfort and style you know with the performance features you need.

NOTE: All shoes tested at WTGR are done sockless – barefoot to insole and uppers. Blisters and hot spots are noted when experienced. NONE for any from the LEMs Primal Series 🙂

In summary, the Primal 3 is an upgrade from the Primal 2, with a focus on improved comfort and sustainability through the use of recycled materials. It maintains the familiar fit and feel of the Primal series while introducing new features to enhance performance. The Primal 3 is designed to provide a natural, healthy fit for your feet and are suitable for various activities, including everyday wear, light exercise, and walking.

Honestly, the Primal 3 is becoming another of my favorite shoe as it reminded me of my LEMs Nine2Five that I wore in Europe 2017 and put in almost 100 miles in just two weeks…

The Primal 3 is available in men’s and women’s versions, with a variety of colors and materials, including vegan options. Available now in four colorways: Slate, Olive, Eclipse, and Black.
