The soft suede uppers and mesh lined collar keeps your feet warm in cold and windy weather (worn it many times in San Francisco) and by being breathable, it also keep you cool in the summer. Available in only dark grey and black, VIVOBAREFOOT Gobi and Gobi II lovers of light brown or brown might want to add another colorways in addition to a more appealing look (in my opinion) and different design to their collection. I’ve had the Gobi for many years and have been wearing the Drake for a few months. I prefer the Drake much more than the Gobi!

Personally, the Drake’s collar is much more comfortable than the Gobi’s collar. And depending on whether you wear skinny pants/jeans or loose fitting jeans, you might lean towards the Drake with the former. The Gobi also has a higher boot height in addition to weighing an ounce more. Both have removable insoles and identical 3mm outsole.
