The successor to the LEMs Primal 2, the Primal Zen has been in the works for ten long years… The Primal Zen offers the same minimalist casual shoe that is vegan-friendly and zero-drop (0mm), but with some added cushion (2mm) and a more grounded base. Its newly designed outsole guarantees that ultra-light fit and feel you’ve come to love in the Primal 2, yet adds a bit more protection and durability with its platform that naturally wraps the shape of the foot. Its upper is built with a combination of breathable air mesh and microfiber.
With every iteration or new model from LEMs Shoes, they only get better and more comfortable. I only wear minimalist shoes (walk, run, bike) without socks and can honestly say that the Primal Zen is the most comfortable LEMs shoe ever – the LEMs Drifter was a close second. I believe it’s the cork footbed that guarantees your feet will stay cool and comfortable 🙂
The previous versions of the Primal series may have been too minimal for those taking long walks in them (heel strike with minimal cushioning) on hard surfaces – not a problem for those running in them as the running gait is different (mid to forefoot landing for shock absorption). The wide toe box allows my toes to splay to its max or it can also accommodate Correct Toes spacers (see LEMs accessories area for more information) with extra room to spare.
Great for casual business wear in most office settings now that we’re starting to get back into the office more or have in person meetings off site. And always appropriate in Silicon Valley or any high technology companies!
Available now in three colorways, asphalt, woodland, and white sand, from LEMs Shoes online store.
Note: For those with narrow feet, you might want to size down a half size.
