Are Woodies Performance Pants the Best Travel and Everyday Wear?

Posted on March 29, 2025February 6, 2026

We Put Them to the Test!

Woodies Clothing Review Series

  • Pros & Cons of Custom-Tailored Clothing
  • Woodies Stain Resistance Performance Shirt
  • Woodies Performance Pants
  • Woodies Performance Denim Jacket

In this review, we wear tested the Woodies Performance Pants. Please refer back to our review of the Woodies Stain Resistance Performance Shirt for details on how to set up your Size Profile.

As we noted before, with Woodies setting up a size profile is super easy. We recommend using their super convenient and fast-sizing AI. With as little as your height, weight and average shirt size, their sizing algorithm can calculate all your custom measurements in seconds.

If you prefer taking your own measurements (like I do), then I’d recommend simply following their measuring guide for custom clothing. The videos are easy to follow and straight forward.

I have been evaluating these pants for a few weeks each to make sure I don’t see any faults or problems with the fit and materials. I’m happy to say the Woodies Performance Pants also delivered like the Performance Shirt.

Designed for versatility, the Woodies Performance Pants are suitable for both casual outings and more formal settings. Made from a unique fabric called TECHSTREME (100% mechanical stretch polyester), it is lightweight, wrinkle-resistant, and features a quick-drying and water-repelling finish, making it ideal for various activities.

Comfort and Fit

They feature a 4-way smart stretch, allowing for ease of movement whether you’re hiking, biking, or simply relaxing. The fit is customizable with options for slim or regular fits, catering to different body types.

Style Versatility

These stylish pants are pairable with both formal jackets and casual shirts, making them suitable for various occasions, from work meetings to social gatherings. The sleek design ensures that they look good in both professional and relaxed environments.

Durability and Care

They feature sturdy stitching and high-quality zippers, ensuring longevity even with regular wear. Additionally, they are easy to take care of; a simple wash and hang dry keeps them looking fresh without the need for ironing.

Travel-Friendly

Their lightweight nature and wrinkle-resistant fabric make these pants excellent travel companions – my favorite nit about travel pants so I’m happy here!

Outdoor Activities

The Woodies Performance Pants is also a good option for casual outdoor activities rather than extreme adventures (light hiking, walking, travel, commuting, golf). If you’re doing heavy hiking, mountaineering, or rugged camping, you might want pants specifically designed for those environments (like reinforced trekking pants).

The elastane fabric allows for better movement when walking, hiking, or even biking. The moisture–wicking fabric keeps you dry during moderate physical activities while the stain & water resistance material repels light rain and stains when dirt, mud, or unexpected spills might be an issue.

The blend of cotton, polyester, and elastane makes the fabric durable, reducing wear and tear when moving through rougher terrains.

Pant Pockets

The Woodies Performance Pants have traditional front slanted pockets for more formal settings. The pockets are deep, and the phone pocket is 5” wide by 8” deep so would fit most phone even with a protective case. And the pockets are deep enough.

For travel, I prefer the standard 5 pocket pants instead of slanted pockets for extra safety.

Special Feature – Hidden Pockets

There are two hidden zippered RFID blocking back pockets and one hidden phone front pocket, useful for keeping valuables safe when traveling or engaging in activities where security matters.

Lining materials that block Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) signals, these hidden pockets safeguarding your credit cards, passports, and other RFID-enabled items from unauthorized scanning and potential theft. By blocking RFID signals, they prevent unauthorized scanning of your personal data, which is particularly useful for travel or urban settings where digital pickpocketing can occur.

Fabric Care

Caring for your Woodies Performance Pants is like your Woodies Stain Resistant Performance Shirt: machine wash the shirt in warm or cold water using a normal or delicate cycle, hang dry, and use mild detergents. Full care details in Stain Resistant Performance Shirt post. Following these care instructions will help ensure that the Woodies Performance Pants remains in excellent condition.

Conclusion

Overall, Woodies Performance Pants stand out for their combination of comfort, style, and practicality. They are well-suited for those who want versatile pants that can transition from work to leisure seamlessly. If you’re looking for pants that can transition from casual wear to light outdoor adventures, Woodies Performance Pants are also a solid choice.

FYI:

The Woodies Performance Pants are also available in other styles including 5 Pocket, Joggers, Stretch Washed Chinos, and Flannel Lined Chinos.

The Woodies Perfect Fit Guarantee

Woodies Clothing offers a Perfect Fit Guarantee to ensure customer satisfaction with their custom-made garments. If the initial fit isn’t satisfactory, they provide free alterations or remakes. This policy reflects their commitment to delivering well-fitting, high-quality clothing.
