Deep tissue massage with the sleek Bob & Brad T2 massage gun

Posted on May 17, 2023

Bob and Brad T2 massage gun is tailored to physical therapy patients, athletes, and everyone in between including runners, cyclists, and travelers. With its sleek design, gloss finish, and targeted massage, the new T2 model is a true testament to Bob and Brad’s physio wisdom – trusted by over 4 million followers on YouTube. Physical therapists Bob Schrupp and Brad Heineck have over 60 years of combined experience in the physical therapy field.

Deep Muscle Relaxation

The Bob and Brad T2 massage gun is powered by a 25W high-torque brushless motor that runs up to 3200 RPM. It reaches and massages deeper in the muscle tissue with its 10mm amplitude, providing you a powerful experience.

Comes with 5 massage heads that combined with the 5 speed levels is used on the different muscle groups, helping you best meet your various muscle relaxation needs. The massage gun is easy to use and relieves muscle fatigue and pain, boosts blood circulation, and helps with recovery after intense workouts or extensive muscle usage – no matter whether you’re a runner, cyclist, any person who exercise or does a lot of manual labor. This also works for people with injuries.

Battery Capacity & Charging

The T2 massage gun has an enhanced high-quality rechargeable battery that is upgraded to 4000mAh, giving this massage gun a 2.5 times longer battery life than the original C2 massage gun. It provides 2-5 hours working time and only takes 2-3 hours to fully charge.

The massage gun can be charged with a type-C USB cable using any regular phone adapter or 5V/2A adapter on a wall socket or power bank. It is designed with a 10-minute auto-off setting to prevent overheating and extend the life of the motor.

Do NOT use the device for more than 30 minutes at a time. Wait 5 minutes prior to using the device again.

Ultra Quiet Technology & Design

It is the quietest brushless motor that exists right now (working noise is only 45dB) without the compromise of power.

Quiet Technology

Very easy to hold with its ergonomic silicone handle design and its compact size & case make it easy to carry around and use at home, work, gym, or travel. Comfortably reaches 80% of your body.

Summary

We reviewed the popular Theragun Prime massage gun back in April 2022 and my whole family have been using the two units daily ever since. It became our go-to pain reliever and baseline for all massage guns out there.

The most noticeable difference between the Bob and Brad T2 massager and Theragun Prime massager is the handle. There is no multi-grip handle on the T2 that we’ve grown accustomed to. It’s nice to be able to use both hands or have a better grip when using the T2 for hard to reach areas like the back and shoulders. But no worries as a Bob and Brad D6 Pro model is now available with a multi-grip handle!

Bob and Brad T2 versus Theragun Prime

The enhanced battery life certainly makes repeated usage (15 to 30 minutes) on a daily basis with less anxiety – it’s ready for use when I needed muscle ache or pain relief. Sort of like range anxiety for my electric vehicle! Compared to my Theragun Prime, the Bob and Brad T2 massage gun has a longer battery life based on my usage patterns 🙂

In terms of noise level, the T2 massage gun is the same or quieter than the Theragun Prime in my opinion…

Besides noise level, the T2 massage gun is also about 0.5 pounds lighter than the Theragun Prime. Sometime it is just easier to grab the lighter massage gun for quick usage.

After using massage guns for the past year and a half extensively (running on hills pounding on asphalt/concrete, weight lifting, rebuilding my deck, re-landscaping my front & side yard, refinishing my front and deck doors & frames, cleaning out the crawl space, climbing on attic to re-wire my kitchen & dining room light fixtures, etc.), I have pushed massage guns usage to the max…

At half the price or less for a Bob and Brad T2 massage gun versus an equivalent Theragun of the same features and performance, this is a no-brainer purchase for those who need an additional device or getting their first massage gun.

One nit of mine is the last speed level setting – it does not remember it. It’s the same for Theragun Prime. It gets reset to the first speed level after you turn off the unit. Sometimes it’s nice to turn it on and use at the same speed level setting used without thinking…

One improvement suggestion is to have an up/down button to select increase or decrease the speed level. Pressing and holding down the Power & Speed button can result in the incorrect operation desired.

Bob and Brad has also published an 86-page PDF Users Guide (How to Heal with Massage) that is super-helpful and educational for non-therapists like myself! Perfect complement to your massage gun. Download the PDF here.

How to Heal with Massage

Includes gems on many reasons why you SHOULD NOT buy a massage gun and reasons why you SHOULD buy one! And over two dozen reasons to USE a massage gun.

Bob and Brad is small brand whose time has come and will continue to chip into Theragun massage gun sales with their value pricing and innovation for many years to come. Besides the T2 massage gun ($89), they also carry the original C2 (8mm amplitude, $99), Q2 Mini (7mm amplitude, $59), X6 Pro (10mm amplitude, $109) and the new D6 Pro (16mm amplitude, $249). Limited time discount coupons of up to $60 are also available on checkout.
