For those who owned and loved the Chillum, the new LEMS Shoes KOURT can be called its new leather counterpart. Built on the same outsole as the Chillum, the KOURT is a full-grain leather lace-up shoe. Take it anywhere, everywhere, dress up, dress down – the perfect choice for travel and getaways.
The Kourt is made with a full grain leather upper with a subtle suede detail against the heel to add a hint of contrast to the shoe. The perforated tongue and perforations in the back coupled with the moisture-wicking polyester lining make way for airflow.
LEMs Shoes proprietary ultra-thin cork insole provides a natural cooling sensation and can be worn with or without socks, or without the insole entirely if you prefer a more minimal feel. These shoes feature a wide toe box and zero drop for maximum flexibility and packability,
Summary
The LEMs Shoes KOURT immediately reminded us of the tennis inspired VIVOBAREFOOT Bannister (hand cut leather we reviewed in 2014), a sleek lace-up with sports styling that harkens back to the Roger Bannister era. But drastic difference is that the KOURT is lighter, softer, and more comfortable than the Bannister.
Worn without socks, the KOURT is almost the most comfortable LEMs Shoes model I’ve ever wear tested – the business casual Nine2Five is my favorite leather comfort model.
Design and style-wise, the KOURT is more stylish and more athletic – the Nine2Five is more business casual. The Chillum is comparable in style and design to the KOURT.
Currently available in two colorways online from LEMs Shoes: Black Top, White Out. These shoes will go with any outfit because they are classy that way. Grab yourself a pair now!
The LEMs Shoes KOURT fits TRUE TO SIZE, and you can order your normal US size! The KOURT already has a wide toe box and a removable insole, so for those some who prefer extra depth or better ground feel may consider removing the insole.
