If you have never participated in the annual Bay To Breakers 12K race in San Francisco, CA, you will have to try it at least once (add it to your bucket list). Or do it twice – experience the craziness first and then plan on running it as a seeded runner the next time. I ran in my first Bay to Breakers over 30 years ago… Since my daughter is graduating from high school this month, I decided to run it with her before she heads off to college in August – it’s her first and her longest race is a 5K. She survived with some walking and bathroom breaks. Here are some photos from the race on Sunday. I want to thank Mio Global for making the event special with a VIP Pass – we get to skip the bathroom lines, get hot food & drinks before & after the race, watch elite athletes warm up, rub elbows with elite runners pre-race. and making this a special day for my daughter. We’re also part of the record setting Mio team in Record Setter‘s ‘Largest Group Laughing to Raise Their Heart Rate’! A tiring (getting up at 4:30am on a Sunday) but thoroughly enjoyable morning for us 🙂
Here is my race day gear: Mio Global shirt, Mio FUSE, Skora TEMPO, RecoFit Compression sleeves, Scribe Labs runScribe wearable tracker.
